Sunshine State Biodiversity Group cofounders Jeff VanderMeer and CD Davidson-Hiers talk rewilding, native plants, and what happens when beavers take over your property. Florida Journalist Davidson-Hiers has firsthand knowledge of the benefits of “passive rewilding” on her farm and is collaborating on a rewilding book with VanderMeer, a local
novelist with an international following. VanderMeer has transformed his yard into a wildlife haven– removing invasives and planting over 300 native species, with huge benefits for birds, insects, reptiles, and mammals. Expect practical tips and tricks of the trade, but also a spirited discussion of rewilding, biodiversity, and how you can help.
