Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, is an ancient practice with different schools of study, each with unique philosophies and aesthetics that can be appreciated without formal study. The Sogetsu School is a contemporary school that focuses on the creativity and individuality of ikebana--the idea is that ikebana can be done by anyone, anywhere, with almost anything. Adriana Sousa will go over the basics of Sogetsu and help you create a piece to bring home and enjoy. Supplies (kenzans, foliage and flowers) included.
